Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important mean of the day. Its shown when a person starts the day off with breakfast, they are more alert and pay better attention, than if they didn't eat. Here is a couple of recipes for some delicious, very easy and simple breakfast ideas.



Serves: 1
Total Time: 10 min
Ingredients
·         1 large egg, beaten
·         2 tablespoon(s) prepared marinara sauce
·         1 whole-wheat English muffin , split and toasted
·         2 tablespoon(s) shredded Italian cheese blend
·         2 slice(s) pepperoni (optional)


Directions
1.    Preheat oven or toaster oven broiler.
2.    Coat a small nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Add egg and cook, stirring often, until set into soft curds, 1 to 2 minutes. Spread marinara sauce on English muffin halves. Top with the scrambled egg, cheese, and pepperoni (if using). Broil until the cheese is melted, 1 to 3 minutes.

Yields: 2 servings, 1/2 bagel eachTotal Time: 5 min
Ingredients
·         2 tablespoon(s) natural nut butter, such as almond, cashew, or peanut
·         1 teaspoon(s) honey
·         1 pinch(s) salt
·         1 whole-wheat bagel , split and toasted
·         1 small banana, sliced


Directions
1.    Stir together nut butter, honey, and salt in a small bowl. Divide the mixture between bagel halves and top with banana slices.




Serves: 1
Total Time: 5 min
Ingredients
·         1 1/4 cup(s) fresh berries
·         3/4 cup(s) low-fat plain yogurt
·         1/2 cup(s) orange juice
·         2 tablespoon(s) nonfat dry milk
·         1 tablespoon(s) toasted wheat germ
·         1 tablespoon(s) honey
·         1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract


Directions
1.    Place berries, yogurt, orange juice, dry milk, wheat germ, honey and vanilla in a blender and blend until smooth.


Serves: 1 Edit
Yields: 1 1/4 cups
Total Time: 10 min
Ingredients
·         1/2 cup(s) plain yogurt, nonfat or low-fat
·         1/2 cup(s) blueberries, fresh or frozen (thawed)
·         1/4 cup(s) apple, diced
·         1/4 cup(s) banana, diced
·         1/4 cup(s) muesli , unsweetened (see Tips & Techniques)
·         1 teaspoon(s) honey or pure maple syrup


Directions
1.    Stir together yogurt, blueberries, apple, banana, muesli, and honey (or maple syrup) to taste in a bowl

That breakfast one sounds delicious !! ive dont something like that exept i make it into a burrito instead because its easier for me to carry around and less mess :P but im defenitly going to try that out very soon because it looks and sounds delicious !! your doing a great job on your blog ! keep up the good work ! :)

  3. that breakfast thing looks and sounds really good! i might have to try that one of these weekends, and i love those smoothy shakes but never have time before school to eat breakfast!
